Some unique paintings in Chitrasante-2018
This is the day every art lover of Bengaluru eagerly waits. Not only, art lovers of Bengaluru, I guess art lovers of India. No need to say I’m one of them 🙂 . So the day had arrived for the year 2018, the first Sunday of the year. On this day of every year Chitrasante is organised by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat.
As planned , I went there , with lots of expectation and excitement. This event never disappoints me. The street which is always busy because of vehicles was looking different. It was looking, like decorated both sides with beautiful paintings. Both the sides the artists had put up stalls.Looked like, their eyes were keen on on buyers and ears were filled with appreciations. On the road , lakhs of people walking , trying to look at both the sides.
The event inaugurated by famous scientist Bharata Ratna Prof. C.N.R.Rao, making science meet art 🙂 .The whole area was filled with joy of the visitors, expectations and hopes of artists, appreciations, “WOW”, “Awesome” “Beautiful!” etc exclamations, colorful paintings , bargains while purchasing, ……entirely it was looking like a festival.
As I walked down the street, my camera was continuously working. I clicked more than 200 photos. Last year, there were many paintings of Bhuddha, in different styles and different shades. This year too I could find few Bhuddha paintings, most of the paintings were of wild life and realistic paintings. Some artists had tried their own style, which made those paintings very unique. There were traditional paintings too. In this post sharing about some unique painting I found in Chitrasante- 2018.
I liked this artist’s style. Very unique :
The below are the traditional miniature paintings. The artist has embossed the design. These are studded with real gems and gold foil.
The artists of these paintings, tried single color shades for the paintings:
Black and white combination for the entire painting:
This year, one of the special attractions was body painting:
Mural paintings, with embossed effect:
The paintings of different styles of dances of India:
The list doesn’t end here. It includes wild life paintings, realistic paintings, Buddha paintings and many more. Will share in the coming posts.
Love, laugh and live the life to the fullest,
