Design of the week – Cutwork design
Cutwork requires lot of patience. But outcome of cutwork is worth the patience. Nowadays using embroidery machines, cutwork is easy to do, but that too requires lot of time. I am trying cutwork in hand embroidery after a long gap. Here is the design:
The design I have drawn
If cutwork is done using hand embroidery , the to start with it is better to use small designs. So I have shared a small design here. Also cutwork looks good it done using cotton embroidery threads. Here I have used Anchor cotton embroidery skeins.
The embroidered design
I have done cutowork on the petals of the flower also on leaves alternatively.
Here sharing the slant view, so that the cutwork can be seen.

This design can be used on dresses, T-shirts etc. I don’t suggest cutwork using hand embroidery on sarees. It will take hell a lot of time. If embroidery machine is used on sarees, then cutwork can be done, comparatively in short time.
