Design of the week – Simple floral embroidery design

I was not able to share embroidery designs from many weeks, in design of the week posts. I am really busy in finishing the Kerala Mural on canvas, which I had shared in the Work In Progress post, few weeks back. I still need 2-3 days to finish that painting. The painting is coming out well, but too much of work. This painting I am making on order, so I have to be extra cautious.

After many weeks, I am sharing design of the week. It is not that , I always share embroidery designs in these posts. I have shared saree designs, make over of sarees, art journal designs and card designs too. I have drawn many designs and selected some vintage designs to share. But while sharing I don’t simply share the design, I embroider that and share the picture of the embroidered design. So that takes time. But it will help the people who are using the design, to choose threads, stitches and color combination.

This week sharing simple floral embroidery design. This one I have drawn , French knot and lazy daisy stitch in mind.

I have used, Anchor cotton skeins in six strands to embroider this design. The thread I have chosen are yellow, orange , maroon, black and green.

Here I have used lazy daisy for the flowers, French knots for some flowers , stem stich. This can be used all over dress or saree. If you use this design, do share what you have made with this embroidery  design.
