Floral Acrylic painting- Learning experience

I am slowly learning acrylic painting , with this floral acrylic painting. Though I had attended 3-4 acrylic painting workshop, I was never confident of making on my own. The journey of making acrylic painting started with this colorful Buddha painting to  the Buddha painting on big canvas. In these painting most of the works were done by our teacher. That made me to select simpler designs to learn acrylic painting. So this time I chose floral design.

I had shared the work in progress of this painting. When I started making the painting, I thought I can’t make this floral painting. It will be same as the earlier workshops. But made my mind, whether it turns out good or bad, I am going to paint this myself , with teacher’s guidance. Of course our teacher Shri Rajesh Anand helped me a lot. Without his guidance, it won’t have turned so beautiful.

The painting

This is on 18X24 stretched canvas. Though I had made many mistakes, our teacher corrected that. And I have learnt some techniques of acrylic painting in this workshop.

Just to give the idea of the size of the painting 🙂

I respect all who are self thought artists, or born artists. But for me , it is really difficult to learn any art or craft on my own. I always feel one Guru’s guidance is required to learn art. Also, learning with a teacher , helps us to learn faster. May be we remember more, when we get the scolding from the teacher :). At least I am like that 🙂
