How to decoupage a canvas purse- Tutorial
I am very fond of decoupage. It is a simple technique, with which we can redesign boxes, furniture etc. Recently I have shared a tutorial of using decoupage to redesign a very old bangle box. The video of the same is also shared. In this post sharing decoupage technique to design a canvas purse.
The materials required are:

- A plain purse or a canvas purse
- Decoupage tissue
- Primer or white acrylic paint
- Decoupage glue
- A small piece of sponge
- Water and purse
How to decoupage – steps
- Apply the primer on the purse. 2-3 coats can be applied. Allow it for drying.

2. Once dried apply decoupage glue all over the purse, with a brush. Allow it to dry.

3. Cut required size of the decoupage tissue. The decoupage tissue has 3 layers. The printed layer should be separated from the white tissue layers.

4. Place it on the the purse, so that it covers the entire purse, except zip. Take some sponge , and dip it in water and squeeze the sponge. Gently dab the wet sponge all over the tissue.

Allow it for drying. A coat of varnish can be applied, if glossy finish is required.
