Neck design with chain stitch embroidery
This is the neck design where I have used chain stitch embroidery. The design is from a book, which I bought long back.

The fabric is cotton one, with prints on it. I have used only Anchor threads here. Anchor has some beautiful colors in multi colored threads.

With the multi colored threads, I have used some solid colored threads and floral embellishments.

Most of the embroidery is done using chain stitch.
I prefer chain stitch for hand embroidery, that to for the flowers and the leaves design. First is the embroidery looks very delicate when chain stitch is used. And chain stitch is durable too. This stitch is used in many forma of embroidery, may be it is zardozi or kashidakari. Filling also looks very beautiful with chain stitch and easy too. Also chain stitch can be made on any kind of fabric.
You can see small three mandala design in the embroidery. These designs I have already used in one of my sarees. The closer view of the mandala design is here:

The neck line is “V” shaped. For that I have used herringbone stitch. And inside the leaf feather stitch. After this stitched I might use the same embellishments on the body and sleeves.
I have started making one more saree with tatted lace. Hope to complete that soon. Also, one more album is in making. I will share all soon. Keep visiting the blog 🙂
