Why handmade quilts?

What makes a handmade quilt so unique is not just the design, but the effort and personal touch that goes into it. Unlike machine-made quilts, every detail here—from choosing the fabrics to stitching the layers—was done by hand. The applique work brings life to the quilt, making it more than just a bedding piece; it’s an art form. 

Here I have used patchwork embroidery, using embroidery machine.  I have the design , I got it enlarged. The cut the materials required , and the simple patchwork done.

This particular quilt was made with soft cotton fabric, keeping comfort and coziness in mind. The bright shades of blue, pink, and white create a cheerful feel, perfect for little ones. The imagery of rabbits at the bottom adds a playful charm, making it ideal as a child’s quilt.

Working on such projects always gives me joy. Quilting is not just about sewing fabric pieces together—it’s about creating warmth, comfort, and lasting memories. Every handmade quilt becomes a keepsake, cherished for years to come.
