Saree design with thread border and block printing

This time designed this saree with thread border. Thread border looks very elegant. This border I bought in famous cotton market in Bengaluru Srirampura. This lace costed me only Rs. 100. The material I chose for making saree is Chanderi silk cotton with a small zari border.

The materials

I didn’t want the zari border, so I covered the zari border by attaching the thread border along the saree. First I thought of using embroidery all over the saree. Then thought I Will use the paisley design fabric with the thread border. I have used the fabric stripes on the pallu of the saree.

You can see I have also used block prints in between the stripes of the designs. These block prints are in Rangoli designs. Along the border also I have printed these Rangoli designs. On the upper border smaller designs.

On the body of the saree, I have printed bigger motifs .
