Work In Progress On Wednesday – Designer lace saree

This week I have taken up, two designer lace saree, for making. I have a stash of white laces. Thought of using it for designing saree. This is the easiest way of designing any saree. There are many varieties of laces available in the market nowadays. I am designing some sarees for my nieces. The next generation should know about saree , and they should also appreciate our culture. For the same reason I had bought these two Garden vareli sarees.

The garden vareli sarees

I thought of converting these two sarees to designer lace sarees by attaching lace along the border. These have embossed white color floral prints all over. So I  have chosen white floral laces for both.

The small one I will be attaching along the border and the , big one with hangings will be attached as kucchu.

For another one I will be attaching little broader lace. I just have to stitch the laces on the sides. Hope this might not take much time.

Making these two are the  designer lace sarees, is the work in progress this week.
