Kerala Mural Painting:
Kerala Mural painting is an ancient art from Kerala. This was used by artists to decorate the temple walls. These are now practised by many artists and these paintings are used as home-decor.
I am lucky enough to learn this from well known artists from Kerala. I had tried this on a big canvas, few years ago.

I have shared a brief tutorial about Kerala Mural painting. I have learnt different techniques in Kearala Mural. I had tried this on bamboo also. It has been a long, that I haven’t made anything using Kerala Mural Art. Any art if we are not practising, will be forgotten. So starting one more Kerala Mural on canvas. The outline works are completed and I should start with the filling and shading the designs.

Normally Kerala Mural paintings are Hindu mythology characters like Shree Krishna, Shree Rama, Anjaneya, Durga maa etc. Here to I have selected Shree Krishna design. This is not a big canvas, so will be painting only Shree Krishna’s face with ornaments here.
Meanwhile , I have completed designing a dress with lace, about which I had shared last week. This is how it looks now:
