Work In Progress On Wednesday- Tatted motif on handbag

I have bitten by tatting bug 🙂 After completing tatted edge for a saree, starting one more tatting project, that is tatted motif  for a handbag.

Tatted motif on a handbag

This is the first time I am making a motif to attach on a purse. I learnt tatting 20 years ago. I have made tatting motifs for dress and sarees. Recently made a 10 mtrs long lace for a saree. That is my largest project in tatting.

Now a days many shops are closing because of pandemic. Many threads shops are also closed. From one such vendor I got these threads.

I fell in love with the color combination. Day before , when I visited nearby market, I found this handbag in shop. Suddenly idea of attaching the tatted motif flashed to me. So making a motif to attach on this handbag. This is a gift. So if time permits, I will make a lace also. Otherwise this single magic square motif also will look nice on the handbag. What do you opine? 🙂
