Best Saree Laces online shopping (Meesho, Amazon, Flipkart) – Honest Review
I have always loved working with different types of laces, whether it is for saree designing, blouse work, saree kuchu, or even small projects like doll dresses. Over time, I have collected laces from both local stores and online platforms, experimenting with how each type behaves in real designs.
Recently, I purchased a few saree laces, borders, and some sewing tools from Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon. Instead of just showcasing them, I wanted to actually observe their quality, usability, and how well they suit different kinds of projects.
In this post, I am sharing my honest review along with practical ideas on where and how these laces can be used in real designs.
Types of Saree Laces I Bought:
Te collection of laces contains gold color, silver and some are simple cotton laces.
Heavy Gold Pearl Embroidery Lace:

Pearl lace
This is a beautiful golden thread border designed on organza fabric, embellished with pearls and sequins. Pearl work always adds a rich and elegant look to sarees and dresses, especially for festive or occasion wear.
The border can be stitched along the saree edge to enhance the overall appearance. It also works very well when combined with hand embroidery, as the gold and pearl detailing blends naturally with traditional designs.
One useful feature of this lace is that the motifs can be carefully cut and reused in embroidery projects, giving more flexibility in design.
In terms of quality, the lace feels sturdy and the embroidery work is neatly done. Overall, it gives a premium finish and is a good choice for decorative saree borders and blouse designs.
Pearl Chain Lace:

Pearl chain lace
This is a pearl lace with a comparatively narrow width, featuring large pearls combined with a delicate golden chain pattern. The design is simple yet elegant, making it suitable for both subtle and decorative use.
I feel this lace works best for saree kuchu making. The larger pearls give a rich finish, and adding golden or white tassels in between can further enhance the overall look of the kuchu.
This lace can also be used along the border of an embroidered saree, especially when you want a neat and refined finish without making the border too heavy. It pairs beautifully with pearl embroidery work.
Another good use is for dupatta edging. When used on a dupatta with pearl embroidery, it creates a very elegant and coordinated look.
Leaf Design with mirror work lace:

Leaf shaped lace
These are very attractive leaf-shaped border laces available in both silver and gold tones. The design features small mirrors embedded within each leaf motif, which adds a beautiful shine and enhances the overall brightness of the lace.
One important aspect I checked was the durability of the mirror work. The mirrors are firmly attached using strong adhesive. I even tried removing one, and it was not easy, which shows that the fixing is secure. So there is no major concern about the mirrors falling off during use.
This lace can be used as a saree border for a bright and festive look. Another useful idea is to cut the lace along the center to create two narrower laces, which can be used for more flexible designs.
The individual leaf motifs can also be cut and used separately in embroidery work. I am personally using these leaf motifs on a saree, and they work beautifully as decorative elements.
Overall, this is a versatile lace that can be used both as a border and as individual motifs, making it a very useful addition for creative saree and blouse designs.
Gota patti leaf shaped lace:

Gota patti lace
This is a gota patti work lace featuring a neat leaf-shaped design. Gota patti is a traditional form of embroidery from Rajasthan, where small pieces of zari ribbon are stitched onto fabric to create decorative patterns.
I have not personally tried gota patti embroidery, but nowadays many ready-made laces with gota work are available in the market in a variety of designs. This lace is one such convenient option for achieving a traditional look without doing the embroidery manually.
The leaf pattern gives it a classic and festive appeal, making it suitable for sarees and dupattas. It can be stitched along the border for a clean, elegant finish.
This lace also works well when combined with broader laces or borders, especially if you want to create a layered design effect.
Overall, it is a simple yet effective lace for adding a traditional Rajasthani touch to your designs without much effort.
I have some more laces to sahre with you. I will writing about in the coming post.
