Neck design using tatting and embroidery

Tatting and embroidery both are my favourite. I have used tatted lace many a times to design neckline of dresses. Also combined it with embroidery to design sarees and dresses.

This time also I have used tatting and embroidery to design this dress. This is a salwar kameez top stitched using silk cotton fabric. I have used red rose brand 20 tkt thread for tatting. This is a new shade and this was gifted by my friend. I didn’t follow normal lace pattern. Instead I made five laces of the thread.

Then attached those laces horizontally. And made another lace with different pattern, and attached it along the border as shown. The filled the triangular space created below again with tatting and embroidery. Made small flowers using tatting, connected those with embroidery, which gives vine pattern.

Tatting and embroidery combined gives magnificent results in designg dresses or sarees. You can also create wonderful designs in tatting , by learning it. I have shared a video tutorial about tatting.
