Work In Progress of Wednesday – Kutch work all over a saree

I had taken a break for a week. So could not share any posts on the blog. Lots of  works are pending and I have registered for many workshops, which I need to attend and learn many arts and crafts. I am engrossed in embroidery. Started many works in embroidery- machine embroidery and hand embroidery too.

Machine embroidery on a saree

I had shared a peacock design , for machine embroidery. The same design I am using on a saree. This saree is almost at the finishing stage. The big motifs are embroidered. There are few small motifs , need to be embroidered.

Kutch work on a saree:

I have started many Kutch works. Most of the sarees which I have started embroidering with Kutch work are pending. I am very fond of this stitch.

So started Kutch work on one more saree. On this saree, I will embroider small basic motif of Kutch work. So hoping to complete it soon.

I never get tired of embroidering, whether it is hand embroidery or machine embroidery. Kutch wor is one of my favourite stitch. the magic of interlacing the colorful threads in Kutch work is mesmerising and like color meditation for me. Will share  more about Kutch work and  also tutorial in coming post.
