Work In Progress On Wednesday – Neck design for Kurti

I love to do neck designs for Kurti using different techniques, like embroidery, tatting ,fabric painting and crochet. Here I found a Kurti , which I had bough long back. It is plain Kurti. Seeing this some ideas started brewing in my mind. So picked up this Banaras print fabric from my stash. I will be using this with some technique to design, neck design for Kurti.

This is the WIP for the week. Wiat for the final outcome of this neck design.

Meanwhile, I have finished making a pin cushion which I was planning since long time. I use it while embroidering as needle cushion. I have used tatted motifs to decorate it.

These threads are anchor tatting threads . Can you imagine , these are the treads I bought 20 years ago! Still the colors look so good and the quality is incomparable. That is why I am fan of Anchor threads.

Also I have finished long pending saree design with screen printing. Somehow it was getting delayed. Phew! I finished it and sent it the  customer.

I have used dull gold for the Ambari motifs here. I have printed the motifs along the border and on pallu, small ambari motifs are printed.
