My First Step into Parchment Craft
The Journey of Making My First Parchment Card
When I started, I was both curious and nervous. Parchment craft needs patience and practice, but it is also meditative. For my first card:
-
I chose a simple floral design with bold outlines so that I could practice embossing without too much fear of tearing the paper.
-
Using the embossing tool, I carefully traced and raised the design of flowers and leaves.
-
To add a touch of charm, I used soft pastel shades of pink, lavender, and green on the petals and leaves.
-
Finally, I finished it with a scalloped lace border and small perforated flower motifs, giving it the signature parchment craft look.
The result wasn’t perfect, but it filled me with joy — every curve, every color stroke reminded me that I was learning something new.

Parchment crad I made
This card is just the beginning of my parchment craft journey. I look forward to experimenting with more patterns, colors, and techniques, and hopefully improving with each creation. For anyone hesitant to try — start simple, enjoy the process, and don’t be afraid of imperfections. Every piece tells a story, and this first parchment card of mine will always remain a cherished milestone.

What a coincidence this is the same design I used on my first parchment too!
