Work In Progress On Wednesday- Mixed media, Hand embroidery

Nowadays , embroidery bug has bitten me :). Started several works in embroidery. Already I have shared about the machine embroidery I’m doing on a saree, also cutwork on another saree. Shared many patterns for embroidery. I always love embroidery, in crafts , that’s my first love. I have lots of embroidery materials. I will share about my stash in a post in future.

Here are the embroidery work I started on a saree,

Kamal Kadai embroidery

This is Kamal Kadai work or interlacing work, a kind in hand embroidery. Though I knew how to do Kamal Kadai, I had never used in any of the saree design or dress design. First time using on a saree. It takes long time.

The next one is tatting. I have shared how I learnt tatting. Also some of my works in tatting. Though I had made small flower motifs using tatting, never tried making a lace. This time making a lace in tatting. First trying a small lace for a dress, and also planning to make a lace on saree.

Apart from these needle and thread works, started a project in mixed media.

Mixed media and stenciling

Stenciling is done on this box. Coloring and attaching embellishing are pending. I can compete this work by this weekend  and share in coming WIP post.
