Work In Progress On Wednesday- Saree Design with Patchwork

This week, taken up a  saree to design with patchwork . Nowadays digital printed fabric is in trend. I also have the digitally printed fabric. Planning to patchwork the fabric along the border. This is the work in progress.

I am not going to patchwork the motifs on this saree, like I have done on  a saree with Kalamkari patchwork, instead , I will attach the fabric as border.

With this saree designing work, I’m embroidering on a saree with Kamal Kadai. And also I have shared about the tatting lace I am making for a saree in my previous post.

Mixed media on a wooden box Buddha stencil:

Meanwhile, I have completed the work, mixed media on a wooden box, which I had shared in the last week.

I am extremely satisfied with this theme. This  has Buddha face , forest and flowers. This is similar to Ratnachakarma which is carved in Bodh Gaya.Buddha after enlightenment , walks on earth. Wherever he put the step,  a lotus was bloomed, it seems. There are carvings of lotus flower in stone. The mixed media on this box also resembles the Ratnachakarma.
